To improve my language skills and to get to know the Spanish culture, I decided to spend the current academic year abroad in Spain. I live in Valencia, the third biggest city in Spain, after ______________(the capital) and ____________________(the city known for the Sagrada Familia). I study at a private university called ESIC Business & Marketing School. The university has many locations all over the country. 🤓

Vivo en un piso compartido con tres chicas. Todas son estudiantes de diferentes países. Una es de ______________(🇸🇮) y vino aquí para estudiar _________(🇪🇸). Otra es ________________(🇮🇹) y estudia un máster de ingeniería. Y la última es de África, exactamente de __________________(🇹🇳) y está haciendo su doctorado.

One of my favourite places in the city is the beach. It only takes me 5 minutes to get there by bike or 15 by foot. As volleyball is my great passion, I love to go there and play beach volleyball with my friends. Even in November, the weather is good enough to keep playing outside. 🏐☀️

We are Mrs Tierney’s Spanish class. We have just come back from study leave and would like to follow your blog to find out more about Valencia. The beach looks beautiful. What else can young people do in Valencia?
How long did it take you to get used to speaking Spanish and understanding the locals? Was it difficult to get used to a different culture? Is it a very touristy area? What do you do there in your free time?
